About Element

At Element Psychotherapy, we offer a compassionate, knowledgeable, encouraging, and open atmosphere for self-exploration.

When we are suffering, we don't want to just address symptoms, we want to address the underlying cause of pain, confusion, or frustration in a collaborative manner. We want to harness all elements of our natural ability to grow and to heal.
If we as humans better understand how our past has shaped us, how we are operating in the present, and what we want to integrate in the future, we can take action to instill change in our lives. Different approaches to life's challenges are necessary in order to step into new chapters of our story and new parts of our selves. We can guide and support you in your journey of exploration and healing with an integrated perspective.

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better."
-Maya Angelou

Our Philosophy
We work from core principles that include:

THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP: A key indicator of successful therapy is the client-therapist relationship. Positive relational experiences grounded in empathy, compassion, and openness are essential to effective therapy and connectedness.
NATURAL HEALING ABILITY: As humans, we have the natural ability to heal and grow. Underlying issues and old ways of operating can impede us from accessing our healing abilities. We can give ourselves permission to connect with and embody parts of our identity that have been lost in the past or are completely new to us. We can take steps toward becoming more whole as an individual.

DEPTH WORK: Patterns that once served us may now impede our ability to grow and cause further distress. Creating change means understanding how patterns have served or saved us in the past, and integrating new ways of operating, even if those new things are discomforting or scary. We can seek awareness of what we are not conscious of and how it is influencing us in our everyday lives.
